The Oktoberfest in Blumenau became more interactive and enjoyable with the augmented reality experience of the Spaten Journey created by the studio.
Cafundó, in partnership with the Guru 360 marketing agency, developed an Augmented Reality experience for Spaten Brewery, sponsor of the Oktoberfest in Blumenau. During the largest German festival in the Americas, visitors had to collect Spaten emblems in AR to win an exclusive beer mug.
Throughout the festival, four totems were spread across the pavilions. Visitors, by pointing the app at them, watched an augmented reality animation, unlocking an emblem. The studio created elaborately themed Augmented Reality animations for four festival pavilions (Spaten Platz, Munich, Spaten, and Blumenau). Collecting the four emblems meant claiming the prize, a beer mug, and enjoying! The use of interactivity and innovation brought visitors closer to the brand and created a fun treasure hunt around the Oktoberfest.
Using the brand and campaign visuals of Spaten for Oktoberfest, emblems, barrels, beer mugs, among other elements, were created and animated in 3D, always blending with the modern visual language presented by Spaten. Augmented reality was developed using the 8th Wall platform, based on the web and without the need to download an app. The combination of both created a visually stunning and easily accessible experience.
